Scope of work and Deliverables:ECLOF International (EI) is a Swiss foundation in Geneva that serves as the hub for a network of 14 microfinance institutions (network members) in Africa, Asia, Latin America and Eastern Europe. Each ECLOF member institution provides financial and non-financial services to the disadvantaged and vulnerable directly in their communities. ECLOF International provides its members with access to technical support services to strengthen institutional capacity and expand depth, breadth and scope of outreach, and to new funding partners, resources and products. To support ECLOF International in preparing the year-end financial reconciliation and other year-end task, we seek to contract a Swiss based Consultant, on a flexible needs’ basis, to provide, the following services:

  • Assist in annual closing – review and reconcile underlying accounts in balance sheet & P&L
  • Prepare annual financial statements and consolidated financial statements for audit and assist with auditor’s queries
  • Prepare annual tax return and submission to the Swiss Federal authorities
  • Help prepare annual forecast and board financial information

 

Required Qualification and Competence:

 

  • Extensive experience in financial management and consultancy.
  • Proven experience in designing financial structures and processes.
  • Knowledge of any financial software system like Cresus, Margill or similar.
  • Deep knowledge and practical experience working with IFRS and Swiss-GAAP accounting standards”.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Geneva-based person strongly preferred
  • Excellent communication skills within a multi-national and multi-cultural environment,
  • Experience working with non-profit organizations is preferred.
  • Knowledge and experience of Swiss accounting norms.
